Hydration and Nutrition of the Body, what’s the difference?

The skin needs nutrients to be healthy. Cosmetic treatments provide hydration and nutrition. It is important not to confuse these two concepts, which are quite different.

Hydration of the skin is effective when water is present in sufficient quantities. Dehydration is linked to environmental factors (cold, sun, pollution…) or a lack of water in the diet. Inadequate cosmetic products can also be responsible.

The skin no longer acts as a barrier, and the hydrolipidic film becomes damaged. Nutrition for the skin provides lipids to ensure the function of this barrier. It produces sebum to keep skin cells together. The amount of sebum varies depending on skin type.
